This past summer I had the pleasure to shoot aerials a few times over Banff National Park. Here is a different perspective on an area I feel blessed to call home.

Amazing stuff Paul. Once again you’ve hit it out of the park!
I’m with Matt on this stunning collection!
Absolutely amazing!!!
Beautiful photo’s – I have been blessed to have seen the beauty of these mountains – a helicopter tour like this would have been amazing. Love, love, love your pictures. 🙂
What a landscape! These are gorgeous Paul.
The wildlife overpass is such a great idea, I wonder why such a thing is not used more often?
I’m hoping to get there next summer – I hope there are still glaciers left!
Amazing pics Paul! Anytime you need an assistant, i’m your man! lol. Great job.
Awesome stuff Paul! Making me feel very homesick though :,(
Paul, please call me next time you are going out. I want to come. Incredible views… and amazing photographs!!!
So beautiful, I could live here again, no problems.
Nice, Paul. You captured some really great perspectives.
I was so close to your neck of the woods this fall…I absolutely need to get up there. But might have to make my first target Assiniboine. Have you been out there?
Hi Wesley. I’ve been up the mountain, but never to the Lodge side, where most do their landscape photography. Embarrassing that I haven’t spent any time there yet! Next summer hopefully…
From what I’ve read, it’s quite the jaunt to get in there (unless you heli ;)). But based on the images, well worth it, too!
A lot of people do it in a day. Most split it into two as the scenery is worth taking it slow. Let me know if you could out this way!
Pau, I will for sure. And if you rally for a trip over there, drop me a line if you’re looking for a partner.
Sounds great Wesley! Thanks very much.
Having the luxury of experiencing these areas first hand, it is amazing to see the beauty of these regions from the air. Great capture of this amazing land
Wow! A very impressive collection of photograpraphs. Much of the terrain I have hiked in the past. The ariel perspective adds great dimension to my experience. The colour of the water never ceases to amaze me and I am blessed to live here.
Thanks a lot Barry. Means a lot coming from someone who is so familiar with the area!
What a excellent blog post and certainly served to clear my brain somewhat
Each and every one of these is absolutely wonderful. I’ve never had the opportunity to photograph from the air, but it can’t be that easy to have such wonderful compositions as these!
Thanks so much for your kind comments! I thoroughly enjoyed getting a completely new perspective of an area that was already really familiar to me from the ground. I hope you get a chance to do aerials soon too!
Wow ! You’ve got a FAN ! 🙂 thanks for those wonderful pics.
Thanks very much Sylvia!
