An evening scene at Annapurna Base Camp, at an elevation of roughly 4,000m. On such clear nights “Fishtail” (also known as Machhapuchhare, in the background) gets bathed in a beautiful reddish glow, signalling the arrival of a starry night.

  1. I say, do you follow?

Fantastic photo. So strange to see grass and bare rock up there. Was there two years ago in January and everything was covered in snow. Nice to see the contrast, it’s beautiful no matter what.

Thank you! There was a significant snowfall while we were there (you can see snow lingering on the north aspects) but most of the snow melted during 4 straight cloudless days.
