Hills of Light

The ancient kingdom of Mustang feels like no other place in Nepal. Located on the north side of the Himalaya, the region receives far less rain than the rest of the country and is characterized by a landscape of dry, windswept, barren hills. When the sun finally manages to rise above the walls of Annapurna, those hills become bathed in dreamy, warm morning light. Syanboche, Mustang, Nepal.
