Diadem Icefall

The morning alpenglow hits the impressive icefall that clings to Diadem Peak in this photo taken during a recent ascent. Other giants of the Columbia Icefield can be seen in the background (L-R Andromeda, Cromwell, Stutfield East, Engelhard, Stutfield North, Woolley). A pile of limestone flakes provided the tripod for this long exposure.
