An Evening with Mount Temple
This photograph was taken from the shores of Herbert Lake during a recent photo tour around Banff National Park. The lake is considered by many to be at its best at sunrise, but the peaks of the Lake Louise Group face north from that location and therefore it is also a great spot for sunset. On the August evening this photo was taken, we were treated to a particularly gorgeous sunset. Something (an aerosol of some kind) off to the West filtered the low light in a way that made the scene before us apocalyptic. A fantastic glow bathed Mount Temple for several minutes and shutters went nuts! Mount Temple, Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada.
