The Eiffel Tower, Rockies-style
Taken yesterday from the summit of Eiffel Peak. This enormous, nearly 100 m tall Cathedral limestone tower rises high above Paradise Valley. As far as I know it has seen very few ascents since the first group went up in 1952, after 9 hours of hard work from the notch. The party described the climb as “one of the best in the Canadian Rockies”. I may have to return before the end of the summer… Eiffel Peak, Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada.

    Yes, just north of summit. All I have is the Alpine Journal description of the 1952 ascent. Involves a significant amount of aid.
