Bow Lake Light Show
This shot was taken during the last installment of “Caffeine and Cameras”, during which a few of us Bow Valley photographers experienced a stunning night on the shores of Bow Lake. The stars were out in force and the Milky Way was clearly visible. I used a headlamp to add foreground interest here and benefited from fellow photographer Geoff Simpson lighting up Crowfoot Mountain with his car from the south end of the lake as he made his way home. I have spent many nights out at Bow Lake and as usual the experience proved to be memorable.
f/4.0, ISO 3200, about one hour of exposure, 17-40mm lens at 17mm.
